Creativity

Creativity is not limited to what we make—it shapes how we think, how we express ourselves, and how we imagine what comes next. We create through our words, our voices, our hands, our choices, and even the energy and intention we bring into our lives.

I have always had a vivid imagination and a natural need to express what is happening inside my mind. Since childhood, creativity has appeared in nearly everything I do—from writing stories and recording imaginary radio shows on cassette tapes to performing music, designing graphics, making art, building a business, and dreaming up ideas simply because they make life more interesting. I believe we are always creating something, whether it is a song, an image, an experience, a new opportunity, or the future we are working toward.

Music

Music is one of the strongest and most visible ways I express myself. For more than 20 years, I have performed with multiple bands, singing everything from country and rock to oldies, ’80s, ’90s, 2000s, and current music. My experience has included cover bands, original projects, acoustic collaborations, duos, and larger live bands, each giving me a different way to grow as a singer and performer.

I love the freedom that comes with moving between genres and finding my own personality inside every song. I often change the phrasing, attitude, arrangement, or energy to make a song feel more natural to me rather than simply recreating the original version. Over the years, music has also given me the opportunity to write and perform my own material, combining my love of poetry, storytelling, and melody. Whether I am interpreting someone else’s song or sharing something I wrote myself, music allows me to be bold, emotional, playful, vulnerable, and completely present.

Writing

Writing was one of my earliest creative outlets. Growing up, I wrote poems, stories, personal reflections, and anything else that gave my imagination somewhere to go. Writing allows me to capture emotions, preserve memories, create meaning, and explore thoughts that may be difficult to express any other way. My writing journey has also included publishing a book featuring many of my earlier poems, giving those words a permanent home and allowing me to share a deeply personal part of my creative history.

Songwriting

Since I was a kid, I would improvise, making up my own lyrics or transforming songs I already knew—just for fun. But it was in my mid-20s, when I joined my first original band, that I began writing songs with intention—turning that love of improv and storytelling into songs.

Songwriting gives me a new way to tell stories, process experiences, and turn emotions into something that could be heard and felt. Since then, I have written more than 40 songs, each reflecting a different moment, perspective, relationship, or version of myself. This part of the site will give those songs and the stories behind them a place of their own.

Art & Design

Art and design allow me to express ideas visually. I love graphic design, painting, resin art, crafts, decorating, and experimenting with different materials, styles, and techniques. Sometimes the goal is polished and intentional; other times, it is simply about following an idea and enjoying the process of making something with my hands. Whether I am creating artwork, designing something digitally, planning a themed celebration, or adding an unexpected detail to a gift, I am always looking for ways to make things feel more personal, original, and memorable.

Business Owner: Monarch Media Designs

Monarch Media Designs is where my creative instincts and analytical mind work together. Owning and operating a business requires strategy, structure, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail, while the design side allows me to turn ideas into finished, tangible work. Through logos, signs, vehicle wraps, branded spaces, marketing materials, and custom projects, I help customers take something they can picture in their minds and bring it into the real world. One of the most meaningful parts of my work is listening closely, trusting my intuition, and helping someone else see their own vision come to life.
